I hope you are well.  Just a follow up to yesterday’s meeting.  Please see the following:

1.  One of the last surviving Tuskegee Airmen, Retired Sgt. Victor W. Butler, is turning 100 on May 25th.  He wants birthday cards to celebrate this momentous occasion.  Please send the cards to: Victor W. Butler, C/O Gary Butler, P.O. Box 3523, Cranston, RI  02910

2.  The RDTAC will be on vacation the months of June, July & August.  The next meeting will be September 17, 2022.  Usually the meeting would be September 10th, but Tuskegee plays at Hampton on that date.

Happy Mother’s Day RDTAC:

I sincerely hope each mother had a wonderful and well deserved day.  The May RDTAC meeting will be Saturday, the 14th.  Because quite a few alumni have indicated they will be unable to attend @ 2:00 pm, I would like to move the meeting time to 5:00 pm.  Please let me know your desire. 

RDTAC, the May meeting will be the last meeting before Summer break.  Just a reminder that June, July & August are the RDTAC vacation months.  Please see the following announcements:

1. Dues are now due - $70 single, $130 couple.  Please mail to Melvin McCain, 111 Lewey Brook Drive, Cary, NC  27519 or Cash App to [Contact RDTAC for CashApp Information]
2. The 2022-2024 RDTAC Officers election will be held at the May meeting.  If you would like to serve as an officer and are financially active, please contact Henry Wall.
3. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CLASS OF 2022!  Dr. David Wilson, ’77 & ’79, President of Morgan State University was the commencement speaker yesterday.  The Spring 2022 Commencement exercises, held inside “Chappie” James Arena, is the University’s 1st time returning to campus since 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic began.

5. The Alumni Trustee Election just opened.  The election is for all TU Alumni and ends on May 25th.  If you did not receive the link, sent this past Wednesday, please let me know.

7. Dr. J. William Nicholas named as the new band director.
8. Tuskegee University took home $40,000 during the 2022 Retool Your School program with Home Depot.  The TU SGA presented plans to design & purchase a Bronze Tiger statue to enhance the campus beautification.
9. The Commodores will be in concert on July 8th at the KOKA Booth Amphitheatre.  See below flyer:
