Join us at 6:30 PM for a night of vibes, connection, and celebration. Come dressed in your flyest Tuskegee gear—we’re representing in style!

 Jeni’s Ice Cream Social Fundraiser – July 9th
Cool down with us from 4–7 PM for a late-night treat. Good company + great ice cream = the perfect combo.
Do Good with Chipotle Fundraiser – July 25th
Enjoy some good food from 5-9 PM.  Grab a bite, bring a friend, and let’s make it count!

We love seeing our alumni community come together, so pull up when you can and bring that Golden Tiger energy with you.

Thank You to the members that paid for your 2026 calendars last month.  We still have a few who have not paid.  Again, the Calendar Committee needs to wrap up the 2026 calendar sales.  The committee will start drafting the 2027 calendar soon.  We have 3 members who have received 10 calendars and no payments have been received.  Please make your payments.  There are 2 options to pay:

Happy Women's History Month RDTAC,

Women’s History Month first became a national celebration in 1982, though the first celebration was Women’s History Week. A few years later, it expanded into a full month of honoring women’s roles in society, thanks to a petition from the National Women’s History Project, which led the president to proclaim March of each year as Women’s History Month.  Let's celebrate all women and especially the women in your lives.

The March RDTAC meeting will be this Saturday, March 7th at 2:00 pm at the Durham Library located at 300 N Roxbury Street, Durham, 4th floor, room 4311 at 2:00 pm.  Please note the date change.  As mentioned in the previous email, I will be in Wilmington on the 14th attending the quarterly North Carolina Parliamentarians Meeting.  My apologies for any inconvenience.  The agenda is attached and the Zoom link is:


As always, we will be patronizing a black-owned restaurant after the meeting.  The restaurant chosen, again, is Nerra, 506 Ramseur Street, Durham 27701.  We had such a great time in January, it was requested to go back again.  🙂

We had an amazing time connecting with prospective students, sharing the Tuskegee experience, and hopefully welcoming a few future Golden Tigers into the family soon! We were represented by the following members, from left to right:  O'Kellia Corbin, Mariah Stewart and​ Zakiya Leggett.

Carter G. Woodson is credited with the creation of Negro History Week in 1926, the precursor to what evolved into Black History Month.  It was made a national holiday in 1976, when President Gerald Ford recognized Black History Month, and it became the month-long celebration that we know today.  During this month, I encourage each of you to do one or more of the following:
  • Visit a black history museum
  • Support a black-owned business
  • Cook and share black cuisine
  • Attend an HBCU alumni monthly meeting...  


The February RDTAC meeting will be this Saturday, February 7th at 4:00 pm at the home of Gary and Alicia Wiley, [contact RDTAC for Address].  Please note the day and time change.  The RDTAC voted to move the meeting from the 2nd to the 1st Saturday because of Valentine's Day.

Happy TU Homecoming RDTAC!

Unfortunately, I will not be attending this year.  I've been traveling extensively this fall and decided to stay put.  If any alumni are attending homecoming, please let me know.  Thank You to all the members who donated & attended the Morehouse/TU Watch Party.  Although TU lost the game, we still had a great time fellowshipping & connecting.  Please see the pictures below with the President of the Morehouse Club, Terry L. Peterkin II, and the 2nd Vice President, Xavier Larkin.  We're hoping to connect again during basketball season.  
RDTAC, the 2026 calendar is complete.  We will be distributing them at the November meeting next Saturday, the 8th.  We ask that every member take 10 calendars to sell or donate the $.  Remember, this is how we raise money for the annual scholarship ($1,000) and our endowment fund.  

The November RDTAC meeting will be at the Durham Library located at 300 N Roxbury Street, Durham, room 4347(4th floor) at 2:00 pm.  The agenda and the Zoom link will be sent next week.  After the meeting we are dining at Dame's Chicken & Waffles located at 455 S Driver Street, Durham, as always, to support black businesses.  Please note the new address.  The new site is larger and the parking is easier.  Bring cash, as it will be 1 ticket for the entire group.

Happy October RDTAC,

Just a friendly reminder of the events this Saturday.  The RDTAC meeting will be this Saturday, October 4th at 5:00-6:30pm at the home of Gary and Alicia Wiley, [Contact RDTAC For Address]  The agenda is attached.  The main item is approval of the 2026 Calendar.  For those who cannot attend in person, the Zoom link is as follows:

The watch party of the TU/Morehouse game will be after the meeting at 7:00 pm.  Please see the attached flyer.  The SpellHouse alumni have indicated that they will have 10-15 in attendance.  The RDTAC will probably have about the same numbers, making the total 25-30.  The RDTAC is donating barbecue & fried fish and SpellHouse has agreed to donate sides & deserts.  Again, we are asking for donations(either $ or food) from the RDTAC alumni.  We don't want to use any unbudgeted $ from the checking account, as we still have the 2026 calendar to publish and dues to send to the TNAA.

Lastly, this is your last opportunity to pay your dues before they are sent to the TNAA for the 2026-2027 year.  2026 is an election year for the TNAA.  If you are not financial, you will not be able to vote.  Dues are $75.00 (single) or $130.00 (couple) and can be mailed to: [Contact RDTAC For Address] or Cash App
