September 2024 Meeting

Good Morning RDTAC,

I hope you had a wonderful summer!  September is right around the corner, which means one thing…it’s time to get back to the business of our beloved mother Tuskegee.  Our first meeting back will be September 14th at 2:00 pm at the home of Gary and Alicia Wiley, located at [Contact RDTAC For Address].  For those who cannot meet in person, the Zoom link is:

RDTAC, this meeting will be brief, to review and approve the 2025 RDTAC TU Calendar.  After which, we will welcome a special guest – Carolyn Quick Tillery, author of The African-American Heritage Cookbook, Traditional Recipes and Fond Remembrances from Alabama’s Renowned Tuskegee University.  Ms. Tillery will speak and personally sign your cookbook.  This is a great keepsake for you and future generations of Tuskegeeans!  The cookbook can be purchased at Barnes & Nobel, Amazon and other locations.  Both cookbooks are below, for those who have the original, left, or the updated version, right. 

​Congratulations to Dr. Vann B. Sapp!  Dr. Mark Brown has appointed Vann Vice President of External Affairs.  Vann was a member of the RDTAC while in Raleigh and served as dean & professor at Saint Augustine’s University.  Vann is a native of Tuskegee, AL. 

RDTAC, dues are now due.  Dues are $115, Couple and $75, Single.  Dues can be mailed to:  Melvin McCain, [Contact RDTAC For Address].  If you are not a member of the RDTAC, please consider joining the Club.  Dues can also be paid at the September meeting or CashApp to [Contact RDTAC For Payment Information].  We are and continue to do great things for current students, future students, Alumni & our Mother Tuskegee!
